Dave Salisbury-Jones started working in the Vale in 1988 as an assistant vet. In 1996 he bought the practice and has run it ever since. Guy Darbyshire started practice in 1997 and joined the Vale team in September 2006. He is a veterinary surgeon with a particular interest in ophthalmology, dermatology and endocrinology. Two of the nursing staff, Tracey Jefcut and Paul Crisell have also worked at the Vale since 1987 and 1988. Eleanor Young (RVN) was apppointed Head Nurse in 2008.

Dave commented: “it’s always helpful to be dealing with the same staff throughout your pet’s illness. At the Vale you’re likely to be seeing the same staff throughout your pet’s life”.

In 2006, half the surgery was completely rebuilt and the other half entirely refurbished, so that we have a thoroughly modern practice with state-of-the-art facilities for all our patients in a clean, spacious and attractive environment.
